Davis, CA- The regular season came and went in a hurry, exemplifying the rapid pace of the hockey season. The Aggies finished the season with 6 wins in 16 games to finish 4th in the PCHA standings and earn a spot in the playoffs. UC Davis will face Santa Rosa Jr. College on Friday, February 14th at 9:15 pm in San Mateo. The winner of that game will earn the opportunity to play in the division finals on Saturday against either Santa Clara University or Stanford. Davis, CA- In the first month of the 2019-20 season, the Aggies played three games. Each one was almost entirely different from the last. Currently holding a 1-2-0 record, the team has four games remaining in the fall quarter, all of which are at home and scheduled before Thanksgiving break.

Opening night was a closely contested home game against Stanford with plenty of friends and fans spectating. The Aggies emerged with an early one goal lead that, over the course of a period and a half, became a three goal deficit. Davis, CA- Autumn is finally upon us, which means classes are in session, the air is getting cooler, and, best of all, hockey is back. This past week, the City of Davis experienced not only a tornado but also the beginning of the Aggie ice hockey season. The first practice was held on September 30th at Vacaville Ice Sports, the Aggies’ home rink. Given the success of the previous year in their run to the finals against Santa Clara University and the addition of several new players, there is much to be excited about for the 2019-20 season.

Losing Alex Sloan (#24) on the blue line might be the biggest roster challenge of the year. However, there is hope that incoming freshman Anthony Goldhawk will be able to make up for those minutes. Up front...
